Mainpac FAQ's
Q: My reports are showing the correct report layout and images, but no data is being produced on the report how can I fix this?
A: Please run regenall.exe to regenerate indexes in database. Please contact helpdesk if problem persists.
Q: I am receiving the error "Network Initialization error file or directory does not exist"?
A: Please run regedit.exe and set the HKEY_LOCALMACHINE -> Software -> Geac key to full permisions for all domain users.
Q: I have recieved the error "Index does not exist: XXX by XXX" while using Mainpac?
A: Please run mpcheck over the data base as a table may contain errors. This will then produce a report of which tables need to be repaired with mprepair.exe
Q: I have recieved the error 0.0 is an invalid timestamp?
A: This problem requires the database to be repaired by Mainpac staff. Please contact helpdesk as soon as you encounter this error.
Q: When moving my plant structure the child items are not inheriting the new location from the parent?
A: Can you please change the Structure type to Rotable. You require this type to inherit the parents location, this also needs to be set on all children and grandchildren of the plant.
Q: How do I archive data in Mainpac?
A: Best method is to create a backup of your database and run "delete jobs older than archive period" within the Housekeeping section in Administration. The backup would be your archived data.
